The buzz when it comes to the latest smart phones to hit the market is about how some of them now have the new front facing camera. The new IPhone 4 has the feature and so does the HTC Evo 4G. This is a great thing for people who like to get creative while they are on the go. Sometimes, you do not want to have to carry around heavy equipment when you are trying to film yourself somewhere. In the past, you had to bring an extra camera so that you can record footage even if it was for something as simple as a web blog. Now all you need is your smart phone, some extra storage, and you are able to show your blogs viewers where you at and what you are doing very easily. We will show you how easy it can be. It is very simple for you to get started with your own video blog, especially now that you have a camera on the phone that can record while at the same time look at the screen.
Tools that you will need
There are several things that you are going to need to get your video blog started. We will assume that you already have your phone so we will go to the very next thing. The very next thing that you need is a domain name and a web host. You need somewhere that people will be able to see the videos at. You can use a free blogging service but using one that you host on your own will give you so much more freedom. After you get the domain and the hosting issue secured, now you need to figure out which software that you are going to use to run the blog. The favorite seems to be Wordpress but there are other options available. For the purposes of simplicity and familiarity, we suggest that you use Wordpress. As we said, there are other options but Wordpress is highly customizable and there are many tutorials and support groups out there that will teach you how to use it.
After all of the software is set up, you are going to need one more thing. You will need either a bigger SD card to store the video that you recorded or an extra one to store just the video stuff. Even though the video that the phone records are highly optimized, it will still take up a lot of space. You do not want the video to push out the other stuff that you might have on the phone. So grab an extra SD card and get ready to record.
And you are now ready to broadcast
Now that you have the extra SD card and the right software you can now start your video blog. With the front facing camera you will be able to see the screen as you are recording. This means that there will be no more guessing of where the camera is pointed at and less shaky cam. It may take you awhile to get used to filming yourself but once you do you will have tons of fun. You might also want to think about getting editing software as well. This way you can make the videos look more professional.

The world is evolving at an extremely fast pace and the tech world is simply whizzing past us at a blistering speed. If you have one of those mobile phones that can do almost everything then you might need some tips on how to extend the life of your mobile battery. Nowadays mobiles run a lot of resource hogging applications, these applications drain the battery down very fast. Here we will discuss about tips that will help you extend the battery life of your mobile to a great degree.
- 1. Screen contrast: every mobile allows its users to reduce the brightness of the screen. Reducing the brightness to a bare minimum is a great way to conserve battery life. Try to keep your screen contrast to a low value as that will help increase the talk time.
- 2. Disable unnecessary sounds: unnecessary sounds drain the battery so try to disable the not so important alert sounds as well as the keypad tones; this will boost the life of the mobile phone battery and enhance the talk time.
- 3. Bluetooth: if your phone is Bluetooth enabled, it will be a good idea to switch off the Bluetooth when you are not using it. Bluetooth is among the most resource intensive hardware in the mobile and you should use it in moderation.
- 4. Games: if you want to extend the cell phone’s battery life, try to stay away from intense gaming sessions on your phone.
- 5. Browsing the Internet: Internet browsing uses up a lot of battery so if you do not really need it then it will be a good idea to turn off the browser as this will save the battery.
Never drain the charge of your battery completely, try to plug in your charger when there is 10% battery life remaining. The above-mentioned ideas can help prolong the battery life.
